It’s been a while since I last put any of my thoughts down for the world to see, and a lot has happened in the meantime.
I earned my doctorate degree in occupational therapy from Colorado State University.

I received my professional license as well as my national registration in occupational therapy after passing a rigorous exam.
Celebrated two years with the love of my life.

I’ve lost some friends, gained some new ones, had a traumatic death in the family, and was forced to set up hospice care for another.
I found a new job, hated it, put in my two weeks’ notice, got fired instead (technically I was ‘let go’).
I’ve had the blessing to begin coaching and training martial arts at a new gym. I’ve been competing a lot with modest success, and learning so much about myself as a competitor in the process.

Needless to say, I’ve had quite the time these past six months. While there has been so many ups and downs, I’m thankful for the opportunity to grow through them with the people I love and respect. Gratitude, for the trials and tribulations that have come my way, and I sit here typing this out awaiting the next challenge or curveball life throws my way.
Moving forward, I want to be better about expressing my thoughts, reflections and continue to engage in the ageless experience of storytelling on this site. I hope you can join me.
